Otra Cosa Network aims to break the cycle of poverty that affects many families in Peru by fighting the perpetuation of social inequalities.
Based in the coastal town of Huanchaco, Peru, they pursue this goal by offering children from very poor backgrounds the educational and health services that the local government is unable to provide.
They currently work with forty children between the ages of 5 and 17. These children come from overcrowded, extremely poor, and mainly female-headed households located in the rural and marginal urban areas of Cajamarca.
These families lack the resources to offer their children an education, daily meals and medical attention. Incawasi provides these services with the conviction that only an approach that integrates education, health and social work can effectively improve the situation of these families.
